Journey to Africa

It all began almost 15 years ago when a certain girl said yes to a certain boy who asked her to marry him.  From that time on, their lives were connected on this path through life, wherever that path would take them.  Currently, and most unforeseen at that time, this path has taken a turn towards a big place called Africa.  A few years ago, we saw a hint of this path toward that unknown place, but it took a lot of prayer and tiny, baby steps to get us going in this new direction. 

At times, the destination seems very close, and at other times, very distant, and there are many obstacles along the way.   We have traveled much, and said many hellos and good-byes.  We have been in uncomfortable situations, we have been confused, we have questioned our sanity...but we are still walking on that path, one day at a time, one step at a time.  And I think eventually we will be far enough down the path to realize that our biggest obstacles turned out to be our greatest blessings.
